Our Goals

1. Early detection of mouth and throat cancer through community-based screenings

  • Develop and implement targeted high-yield community-based screenings
  • Develop a uniform screening facility and protocols that is replicable and scalable
  • Why? Early detection saves lives

2. Prevention through education of the public and health care field

  • Educate the public about the risk factors, signs and symptoms of mouth and throat cancer through community-based screenings
  • Encourage health care workers to learn more about mouth and throat cancer and provide the necessary resources for them to achieve this
  • Act as a centralized source of reliable and up-to-date information on mouth and throat cancer for both patients and health care workers

3. Advocacy and collaboration

  • Work with local organizations to host events
  • Collaborate with local medical and other health professional schools to encourage students to learn more about mouth and throat cancer and volunteer at our screenings

4. Raise awareness about mouth and throat cancer

  • Publicize screening events to public and medical community
  • Advocate for more research into mouth and throat cancer
  • Conduct internal research on our screening efforts to establish feasibility of our model and value in detecting mouth and throat cancer
  • Replicate and expand our model for mouth and throat cancer screening in the Los Angeles area and beyond
